ince ancient times, man has practiced different sports, as different cultures have known different kinds of sport, and even a lot of human activity is practiced in a form of sport and physical activity. When a man walks and travels long distances, he exercises a kind of physical activity.
The importance of sport in our lives stems from many things, including:
Sport is the expression of life, activity and vitality. The person who exercises sport in his life is the person who is best able to express the spirit of life that is dynamic.
The sport is the means to get a healthy body, and it is also a means to get rid of diseases. The person who is practicing sports can reach a strong harmonious body. He can also protect his body from diseases, especially obesity, which causes other diseases such as diabetes, Cartilage,and others.
The sport enhances the positive aspects of the personality of the practitioner and makes him away from the negative aspects. Many studies have shown the role of exercise in improving the mental health of the human being and enhancing the positive spirit. The man in the exercise of the sport produces certain hormones that bring rest and happiness.
Sports is a way to build constructive social relations with people and promote the meanings of affection and familiarity between them. Many sports are practiced collectively, such as football, basketball and others. These sports require the person to meet with others in the team and thus build social relations with them. Man also strengthens his personality and gives him confidence.
Finally, sports play an important role in promoting relations between countries and cultures. When a team from a particular country meets with a team from another country, they get to know each other and establish relationships. This is certainly a positive aspect of sport.

Improves Fitness
‘Fitness’ can be defined as the ability to carry out effectively and efficiently some particular physical or activity. ‘Getting fitter’ means advancing to a higher standard of fitness and being ‘very fit’ means possessing a standard of fitness better than most people. A sound standard of fitness is conductive to a productive life and enhances the possibility of reaching your full potential. You do not have to be trained to the level of a champion athlete to appreciate the benefits of fitness. To students, like all of us, fitness could mean a energetic state that helps us to archive. More technically speaking, ‘fitness ‘ consists of five components, namely: stamina, strength, speed, skill and suppleness.
Calories Burning
Whether people gain or lose weight depends on the balance between energy consumed in food and the energy used in living. This is measured in ‘calories’. A calorie is defined as a unit of work or energy equating to the amount of heat required to raise the temperature of one gram of water one degree centigrade. When the body is in calorie balance the energy intake and output are equal and the body weight remains constant. Eat more calories than you use and weight will be gained; use more than you eat and weight will be lost. Being active is not only good for the heart and circulation, it can use up many calories, which results in weight being controlled.
People vary in the amount of energy they use when doing similar activities. The figures on the table on the next page give a general outline as to the amount of energy used daily and may help you calculate a personal daily diet/exercise programme.

Sport,what a word ! we hear it everyday on TV and the radio . It is of great value and significance not for a sportsman but to an ordinary man alike.
الرياضة، يؤلها من كلمه! نَسْمعُه كلّ يومَ على التلفزيونِ والراديو. هي ذات قيمه عظيمةِ وأهميه ليس فقط علي الرجل الرياضي لكن علي رجلِ عاديِ على حدّ سواء.

Its importance lies in good manners man acquires. Contrary to wasting time and bad habits indulgence. Sport purifies man’s soul as it forms his character and personality .Sport also creates man of tomorrow, who is able to defend

أهميته (الرياضة) تَكْمن ُفي سلوك جيد يكتسبه الإنسان. على نقيض الوقت الضائع وانغماس العاداتِ سيئِ. الرياضةُ تطهر الروح وتشكل الشخصية, الرياضة تَخْلقُ رجلَ الغد، القادر على الدِفَاع عن نفسه ووطنِه.

علاوه علي ذلك الانسان احيانا مشحون بالطاقه الذي تحتاج الي مخرج (منفث) لتجديد نشاط العقل والجسم
ما عدا ذلك يشعر بالانزعاج، أتعب وضغطَ. لِذلك، نحن يمكن ان نلاحظ بان الرياضه تؤثر على الرجلِ (الانسان) نفسياً.

Sport is one of the most important things
Every one dreams of being happy and healthy. This dream
needs lots of things to do such as having a healthy life style. Sport is
one of the most important things that help people to be healthy and
happy. In this project I am going to talk about the definition of
sports, importance and types of them.
Sport is an activity that is managed by a set of roles. Sports differ in
their roles according to their types. For example, football differs
from the volley ball in their roles. This activity of sports helps in
moving the body and the blood of humans which give the people healthy
bodies.
People have many hobbies. Some people choose a type of sports as a hobby
which is a good thing. There are many types of sports but they have
common benefits. All the sports help the body to be strong. They also
help people being more active so they work well and achieve their goals
and duties in their lives. All the sports are the same in relaxing the
minds of the persons who practise. Sports also are very important of
people. When people do some sports, they become happier and
comfortable. Sports also play a vital role in helping people lose
weight. When some one suffers from the overweight, doctors advise him to
ensure a balanced diet but he should also concentrate in doing some
sports not just to lose weight, to be fit also. Some children like for
example playing foot ball. They play and play to be an excellent player
in this sport. This thing may help these children to attend to football
clubs and to get more experience. When they become really excellent
players, they can achieve their dreams by showing their talents to the
world and becoming famous persons.
There are many types of sports. Court is one of the main types of
sports. It has many types of sports also like tennis, basket ball and
netball. Field (team) is another type of sports. It includes football,
flying disc and other sports. Swimming and the ice dance are sports of
Gymnastics type. Arts are also considered as types of sports like
martial arts. Racing is a famous sport all over the world and it has
many kinds such as swimming, running, boat racing, car racing, air
racing and other types of racing. Skiing, walking, ice hockey and other
sports are Rink, ramp and Obstacle Park type of sports. There is a kind
of sports also called strategy and it includes the chess, card games and
other things.
Sport is a very important thing in our life. With sports we can live a
healthy life and we can feel the happiness. All of us should think of
practicing at least three times a week. The best two sports are walking
and swimming. They are also easy sports. When we do some sport, we
become stronger and more relax so we can then think about our lives and
solve our problems easily
